Tahiti Surfing Guide

Tahiti surfing is highly acclaimed among international surfers, with several excellent breaks on both the north coast of Tahiti (Matavai Point and Point Venus) and the south coast of Tahiti (Papara and Fishermans Point), as well as the highly rated Big and Small Pass off the south coast Tahiti Iti. There are several surf schools on island and it is possible to rent boards from Papeete.

Surfing is also good on the north coast of Moorea and off Haapiti on the west coast of Moorea. Huahine is the new up-and-coming surf spot with several consistent breaks off its west coast. All breaks are accessible from the coast.
