Most of the High Street travel agencies dont sell Tahiti as a destination as it is too small and if they do they only offer the large international hotel chains. Package holidays including flights don't offer great savings so it is usually best to buy your international flight yourself and then seek out your accommodation separately. You can try booking your accommodation direct through the resorts or guesthouses but often communication is slack and you're more likely to get a discounted price when using a specialist South Pacific Islands travel agency such as Beautiful Pacific who offer a good choice of places to stay in Tahiti. Day tours can be booked once in Tahiti and meals purchased as needed using cash or credit cards. However, it is best to arrange airport transfers in advance as many flights arrive at unsociable hours and taxis are not always available.
